2nd. You can drive down to the apron and not spin a la Nascar Heat.
3rd If you have NEVER driven GPL before, get ready to learn about
lifting off the throttle when you shift.
4th...Just ran a few laps at Dover...and totally bolluxed a corner...had to
lock
em up and plow down towards the apron to save the car. Well I got back
under way, and went around and the smoke cloud fro my tires was still
hanging in the air...This is NOT the almost opaque N3 smoke cloud but a
bluish transparent cloud that you drive through. Thinking back to the first
efforts of smoke back in the days of N1 or 2..this is amazing.
5th..You must keep the wheel turned to the right on the straights to keep
from sliding down the track, but after a few laps you can just about find a
balance point, you don't have to weave back and forth down the straights to
stay off the inside.
6th..somebody will make the demo available soon. I'm not gonna upload it to
a website to drive their hits. I know several folks who will have it up
soon. Don't worry they will let ya'all know when it's available.
7th. I have heard at least two sounds that are very GPLish. for the
die-hards.
8th 3 pages of setup options with a place for track AND setup notes.
9th After about 100 years, Papyrus has moved some of the view keys
away from the funtion keys..no more reaching for F9 and accidentally
triggering the Tailgunner view...(not that anyone would use that right?)
enuf for now???

Cockpit
view is not to my liking and the floating cockpit is aggravating. Graphics
in NH are better but the menu cars are nice. Sound is okay but didn't blow
me away. As Dave mentioned the aprons are easier to drive but I'm finding
I bounce off the apron when clipping at speed as opposed to spinning out
with NH.
The pull to the left is easy to get rid of and the brakes aren't as
touchy as NH.
I'm not biased one way or the other so far but it seems it might be easier
to
drive in traffic as opposed to NH especially at the Super Speedways.
