Frank, Frank, Frank -- please step away from the monitor and put the
keyboard down, because you've obviously lapsed into slack-jawed Papy
adoration, at the expense of good, sound, reasoned judgement.
F1 2000 was a damn fine sim (FAR better than GP3 in the physics
department) so if F1CS qualifies as a "half-sim," then I guess that
would make N4 a bastard sim ("What do you get when you cross a 1967 GP
car with a Winston Cup car . . . ?").
Now wipe the drool from your chin and stand up straight -- you're
embarrassing us.

Come on Francois... that's a bit harsh. There are positive signs for this
one, not the least of which it's predecessor being not half bad when
patched.
I'm prepared to give this series another go when F1CS2000 arrives.
That's after I try the Nascar4 demo, of course.<g>

The only problem with that line of thinking is that NASCAR 4 is
unfortunately a NASCAR sim.

might think that they just go round in circles, but at least its within very

But when you'll be racing a road course online season with 43cars around the
Nurburgring, you will consider it more then just a "NASCAR" sim. It's a
stock-car simulation, a car that has challenges and it's own
characteristics. It's a beast.
Of course with your biased views, I doubt you will see that. Have fun with
that F1CS "half-sim".

Depends on which web sites you care to visit, I wouldn't define Nascar3
as "only" a Nascar sim any more :-), but of course, even the combined
talent of the whole "Pit Crew" can't turn it into an F1 sim....:-)

But wait, it has GPL physics! LOL I love that line...you are correct, it is
STILL a Nascar sim...and people seem to be overlooking the fact that GPL has
GPL physics!

Oh boy this guy is unbelievable...
OK so *NOW* what is wrong with F1CS??? (you sound like a gore
lawyer too).

I agree. The whole going around in circles for hours as entertainment
escapes me, but the cars themselves are not as fun to drive as say Cart
cars, in my opinion. This is a GAME I will not buy.
And it is a game, by the way.

Bah I'm the first in line to slap them also.
> F1 2000 was a damn fine sim
It wasn't fine. There is no good F1 modern sim at the moment. There never
was. Gp2 was as close to that when released, but at the moment none exist.
They are stink, they all have major faults that just make me cringe.

Nothing, you just don't understand that N4 has no relation to GPL, but
relation to the new game engine which both title share.
