...or both. The sound is terrible. There is definitely something wrong.
I've got an SB Live plugged into a Dell P3-866 with a 64MB GeForce DDR. Act
Labs Force RS w/ RS Shifter for my controller. The controller setup works
pretty well, but when I select the button for Reverse on my "H-Pattern"
shifter it unselects the Accelerator which is on an axis, not a button.
The steering feedback from the virtual wheel is not very smooth and kind of
jumps around. When shifting gears (except for reverse which doesn't work
from my shifter) the game delays for about a second between gears. Very
frustrating. It wasn't like this in N3.
From what I understand we are not getting the full boat with regards for
graphics yet. 16-bit color is all that is available for me. I think with
the release version we'll get 32-bit. That should make the cockpit look
much better IMO. Not sure what is going on when it analyzes my graphics
card. I hope it's not cutting back on textures based on what it thinks I
can handle.
Any help here would be appreciated!

You can run in 32 bit in the demo..
If your using openGL(I'm assuming here)
it will only give you the same bit depth option that you have your desktop
set to.
If this is the case, setting your desktop to 32bit will allow you to use
32bit in the demo while using open GL. note 32 bit is a pretty big fps hit.
