When I try and run the demo it crashes with an
error about 3dfx??.dll and dies. Has anyone else run
the N4 demo under Win2K successfully ?

Sounds like a driver issue. The demo has no problems running under Win2000.

Eric's right. I'm running it on my W2KAS with a Banshee card in it. Runs
smooth.

no joy, I still getting 3dfxvm.dll error. I went back to the original July
drivers, no difference. It appears to me to be
win2k V5 related problem.
Eric what kind of graphics card do you have ?

Same setup, same problem. Car selection menu graphics are
off a bit, then when I go to race system crashes with an error
in 3dfxvm.dll. Memory dump available upon request.
This running 3dfx WHQL drivers 1.04.00 on a Win2K Workstation
SP1 system with DirectX 8 installed.
