I could use some help here. My kids will be switching between a joystick and wheel for playing games. Both want the top controller ID#. I've got their controllers set up on a switch, but they'll have to add and remove controllers in windows. My 6 yr. old can handle this if....... The question is, where are all the default controllers located? I thought I had found them before in the registry, but I can't seem to find them again. I want to remove all except the 2 that they'll be using. -- Slot www.slottweak.com Tweaks & Reviews

Are you Win 98? I switch between wheel and joystick all the time just by shuffling them around using the change button so that the desired controller is in the number 1 slot. No need to add and remove the controllers thus no need to go rooting around in the controller spec listing looking for the right controller. As a plus the controllers retain their calibration throughout the shuffling process. To answer your question though: try HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateP roperties\Joystck\OEM as a starting point when using regedit. Step carefully :) David
