I bought a copy of Driver: you are the wheelman. I was trying to re-assign the buttons on my joystick. It will let you do this, but I don't know how to back out of that screen. Has anyone had the same problem? Is it the joystick or the interface? I really want to change it so I can start ripping stuff up. Thanks
Hi John; First thing about that options screen - it won't let you back out if you have any conflicts, i.e. two functions assigned to the same control. It will just beep at you. Hit the space bar to change a function assignment back to "None" if you've run out of joystick buttons. Once all that's OK, you get out of the controller config screen by pressing 'ESC'. Yes, it will save your assignments. Not very intuitive, huh? BTW, there were two patches for Driver. One helped out with that controller config screen and the second made your steering a *little* less digital. It's still pretty much 'powerslide left' and 'powerslide right' though. Fortunately, that's lots of fun in that game. Hope this helps... ...Klinn "[email hidden]" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:yImV5.2088$[email hidden]...
