Re: Force Feedback settings guide for GPL?

Alison's site is moving to a new server (she posted here saying so yesterday). Don't remember the time frame she presented, but I do remember she said she would try to provide a interim solution if it took too long. Keep your eyes peeled, as I'm sure she'll post again when it's up. Jan. =--- John Harwood wrote...

Have been away from the GPL community for quite a few months and noticed that Alison Hine's site appears to be gone or moved. Is her site still up, and if so where? Alternatively, does anyone know a website with some good settings and tips for damping and latency settings in GPL/N4? Thanks in advance, -John
Be carefull with latency. I've found it is the most important settings for precise driving. I have mine at 15 ms with LWFF. (I' m keeping force and damping settings equal.) Test it with N4demo. Yeah, I've noticed that I need to have it quite a bit lower in N4 than I had it in GPL with my MSFF. Currently have it at 20ms and it seems pretty good. I upped the dampening quite a bit. Would be interested to know what settings other folks have found work well in N4. Thanks, -John On Sun, 3 Dec 2000 20:20:01 +0100, "Mario Petrinovic" <[email hidden]> wrote:
