Badly wanting to get back to my old computer, im hoping that somebody has or will soon figure out a fix for everyone that is having problems with the sound in N4. It doesnt appear to be anything specific like not enough ram, soundcard type or direct x version so maybee its a combination of things. Here are my specs: Celeron 300A O/C 374 ABIT BH6 M/B 64MB PC100 RAM Voodoo3 2000 AGP ESS 1938 PCI soundcard LWFF USB wheel Quantum 13gig H/D Segate 1.3gig H/D Latest drivers for everything Directx 8 If everyone else posts their specs, we might find something in common that causes the error. I have the Abit BE6 m/b. IMHO Abit boards are useless for IRQ allocation. Check to see if your sound adapter is sharing an IRQ. Mine was and seperating it solved the problem. You probably won't be able to change the IRQ in software, so try a different slot and disable ports you don't use. regards, Alan "Luke" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:3a2845fe$0$19424$[email hidden]... > Badly wanting to get back to my old computer, im hoping that somebody hasor
