My news server only stores 180 messages now so unless I check in here all the time I miss everything. I see the N4 demo is out, but I don't find it at papy.com. What's up? -Tony-

We wouldn't stand for that, so it's now available at all the common download sites: avault.com 3dfiles.com etc.
Bruce, First off I do agree with you. But I would like to add that I feel it was handled in a very stupid manor from both sides if the real reason was to make money. If papy had stated a couple months in advance that this was the way the demo was to de distributed, I imagine that there would be a lot more subscribers to CGW right now. I would have subscribed. Papy could have received a payment based on the number of new subscriptions above normal during this time period along with the regular payment that they received. Just my opinion. What a stupid statement! Did it ever occur to you that in order to supply software to the "fans", it IS necessary to for a software developer to acutally make money? It's not illegal....yet. Did it also occur to you that the people who subscribe to CGW just MIGHT be "fans"? -- Regards, Bruce Kennewell, Canberra, Australia. --------------------------- KC <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > > CGW had "exclusive rights" to it until December 5th (who loves money > and doesn't care about the fans?!! You miss the point. CGW 'fans' are being supported while the rest of us are ignored by Sierra. Why? A little pocket change for Sierra? The salivating hordes will buy N4 no matter what. The fact the demo is unofficially available on the net is beside the point. The bean counting suits at Sierra have no respect for their most avid customers. It's good to know where you stand. Sierra's "most avid customers" are but grains of sand on a beach, mate. The return on investment comprises the thousands of pairs of feet that walk into retail shops and who have probably never even *heard* of RAS and, in a lot of cases, don't play on-line. Now, if I were Mr. Sierra and Mr. CGW, I wouldn't be losing too much sleep over the fact that two or three hundred "fans" were peeved by the fact that they couldn't play when all the other children could. -- Regards, Bruce Kennewell, Canberra, Australia. --------------------------- Marty <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > You miss the point. Well mate, it's the principle of the thing. Doesn't count for much to the corporate mind (Sierra, not you I hope). Marty Bruce Kennewell wrote:
