By the way, thanks for the illustration, without it I could never have figured out how to edit the file ;) Andre

I haven't tried it, but it may reset to .20 if you change the deadzone inside the game, change controller settings or when you create another player. Did you do any of these? Just a guess, I'm away from the 'puter with the game right now. Nope didn't touch nothing. You're right, it changes back to 20 after leaving the game. Now we have to edit the file each time we start up F1CS... ISI: PATCH! Andre

I tried this a few days ago, and it has never worked for me. Well, it might have made the deadzone a little smaller for me (maybe) but there is still 1/2 inch or more deadzone On Sun, 03 Dec 2000 12:14:52 -0600, rrevved <[email hidden]> wrote: > >That fixes it! Well after downloading DXTweak and finding out my deadzone was at %5 for some strange reason, I changed it back to %0 and now the editing of the *.plr file works......Im still confused as to how my deadzone was at %5 in windows. Also it seems making the *.plr file readonly doesnt work, as the program changes it back. (strange)

Don't think that'll work, it's writing all kinds of data to it (latest used track etc) But while I didn't change anything, I did went to the config screen to check the settings. It could be that it saves and resets the value to 20 automatically after leaving the options screen even when I didn't change anything. Have to check this when I get home from work. Andre > > >Jan

It works fine here.. Andre
