hi, Anyone else missing a true sense of speed in N4..? Even going at 190mph it still feels as if you're only 80 Maxed all the gfx out to see if that would give some more clues as to how fast it's goin..but that didn't help. Maybe it's the narrow field of view from inside the car..or to little detail in the road/wall textures......but i'd like to get more of a '..goin fast feeling' cheers, Willem

I love N4 but one thing that HEAT has over Papy sims is a good sensation of speed on the straightaways. N3 seems so slow in comparison I can't even play it any more. N4 is defintely an improvement over 3 in that department though. David Stamper Diamond Star Racing http://webpages.charter.net/dstamper "wsa" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

I also turned the mirror off... I got an extra 10-15 fps out of it :) fluffypony Jack Wilson wrote:

Try this.: Drive with full detail.. about 35fps.. and then at 190mph.. look closely at the rear mirror.. if that doesn't look realistic.. and fast.. I don't think it ever will :) James "fluffypony" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

If you dont think N4 looks fast enough then youve never driven that fast in real life in a race car. pez Rogers <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:BRV16.551$[email hidden]...

This topic comes up every six months or so...in Flight Sims, racing Sims, and mario cart titles....YOU WILL NEVER get a true sense of speed from a flat screen. Until we get some sort of wrap around technology that can accelerate the peripheral(sp!) views...you just don't have the depth of field to communicate the sense of speed. Now the titles like Ridge Racer for the consoles do indeed impart some speedier graphics but what you are seeing are the hokey physic tricks to get that..If you have ever done a full race around the RR tracks, you'll know the only way to make speed is to slide through all the corners, if You brake and hit the apex and accel, you are dead slow. dave henrie "Rogers" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:BRV16.551$[email hidden]...
