Has anyone out there tried this wheel yet on games such as SCGT, GP3, or Nascar 3? Can the shifting levers on the wheel be used as throttle and brake like the old TM Grand Prix wheels? How's the calibration? I read that it uses the picture of the wheel and pedals during calibration much like the TM Sprint wheel did. I found that the Sprint wheel had terrible calibration and responsiveness compared the the Grand Prix wheel I had before the Sprint. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
I dont know if you would want to use the shifters as throttle and because they are just switches. I havent had any problems with calibration but i did have a problem with the deadzone in the first few degrees of wheel rotation. Anywhere near center it would straighten itself TO center. Pain in the ass to catch a slide this way, the steerign response wasnt very smooth with it. Some updated drivers fixed this but the latest ones suck. Also the pedal throw on both pedals seems to be insufficient. It makes braking in games such as GPL very tricky. If I had the choice again i would get a different wheel. IMHO. The guillmot ferrari wheel has 4 paddles on the back. Two for shifting and two analog that you can use for throttle and brake. The only draw back is that they use a single axis. Great for those that like using hands for accel and braking or those that dont have a choice. hope this helps Shane Justin Belfiore <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > Man i miss my Thrustmaster GP wheel > > Jack <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:90fbvp$54p$[email hidden]... > > I dont know if you would want to use the shifters as throttle andbecause > > they are just switches.
