As I suspected: when you change the deadzone in the player.PLR file from 0.20 to 0.00, it changes back to 0.20 as soon as you go to the options screen, even when you don't make any changes. So set the options as you want them, set the deadzone to 0.00 and it will stay that way untill you go to the options screen again. The tip from John Bodin about lowering the systemrating in the config.ini did wonders on my pc by the way. Default was systemrating=3, I had no problems at the start with a full field, but there was a considerable difference in fps at the start or somewhere during a race. Now I set it to 2, and it's perfectly smooth even at the start. Great stuff. Bad point: The car settings screen has stayed the same. Not very user friendly, when you make a change to your setup, and you want to save it, you have to manually enter the name of the setup again. This one would have been easy to improve, unfortunately it hasn't. Andre
