Racing games that play like Viper Racing

A fan of Viper Racing asked for similar games with good crash physics. Suggestions included Driver, Mercedes-Benz Truck Racing, STCC2, Insane, NFS Porsche Unleashed and NASCAR Heat, which came from the same developers. 4x4 Evolution was widely panned, and Radical Entertainment's Joe McGinn commented on Midtown Madness 2's handling and framerate.

Any other game you know that handles like Viper Racing, please let me know. -- JediBoricua ************************************************* Exorcise the Demons - Source Direct ************************************************* Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

I played Viper Racing from Sierra On-Line for some time now, i like this game, are there other games similar to this one (specially for the crashes and gameplay). The other one i found is Microsoft Midtown Madness (i'm waiting for MM2!) and Motocross Madness. I don't like those kind of games that you stay on a simple track and nowhere to go and explore. Any recommendations? Thnx! I'd recommend Driver -- I like this much better than Midtown Madness, and you can find it for $9 at Best Buy these days. -- JB In article <90grjg$f5b$[email hidden]>, JediBoricua <[email hidden]> wrote: > I played Viper Racing from Sierra On-Line for some time now, i like > this game, are there other games similar to this one (specially forthe

Don't wait for MM2. I've read that it's driving model is worse then the first one. Never tried either, but that's what I read in a review.

Try the STCC2 demo. I loved Viper Racing and STCC2 is the first racing game that has gotten me excited about racing sims again. > > > I'll try the Driver demo first, that way is how i > found Viper Racing. Any other game you know that > handles like Viper Racing, please let me know.

Ive played MidtownMadness 2 , and I think It essentially handles the same as midtown 1, but I think the powersliding is made faster/easier or somthing (I couldnt really tell, because I havent played Midtown 1 in months). Both of the games physics are made to be arcade-like and not that realistic (you can actually launch off a ramp and fly off to alcatraz)...but the game is very fun, especially if your familar with the citys. Ive also played MotocrossMadness 2.....which you would probably love, if you liked the first one.

Shame about the framerate problems. Joe McGinn _____________________ Radical Entertainment

I got 'em both two days ago - Insane's already off the HD, and 4x4 has another week stay of execution. David G Fisher <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:PX9X5.172673$[email hidden]...

Just give Insane a try and you will know what a good offroad game should be like. In fact, so far you are the only one who said something positive about 4x4 Evolution here. But then again, you allways were 'special' :) Andre

It has fairly realistic simlike physics, which are far better than 4X4 Evolution's or Monster Truck Madness's. It could use better graphics though, and a bit more polish, but it has excellent potential.

I'd recommend trying the Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed demo. Nascar Heat. Written by the same people, has the same overall feel as Viper Racing. -Larry "JediBoricua" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:90grjg$f5b$[email hidden]...

Insane has great physics, but the game is practically useless as the entire controller section is botched. -Larry "Destroy" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > Oh good gravy you must be kidding? The physics are terrible in Evolution. If

I have my MSFF working great in the demo. You have to combine the pedals and make sure it is calibrated well. I love the demo and can't wait for the full version. It was even fun with a keyboard, but the wheel and pedals are much better. ~daxe
