My $0.02..I agree with the original poster, multi seems more sensitive than single player. However, I am pretty new at online racing so it could just be nerves.... -Travis "Colin Harris" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:SoTW5.17181$[email hidden]... > Is it possible that the host specified damage/driving model to be arcade?I

It could be one of three things 1. The server was useing a forced setup that was quite diferent from yours 2. The server was useing a modified track.ini with less grip. 3. If you are useing a logitech wingman profile offline it wont work online so your wheel settings might be diferent. Alex "wsa" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Hi, Ok, If it was 1, would that setup be saved on my system?...cause besides my setups i don't see any others... If it was 2, anyway to see that when you enter the race? It wasn't 3, have a guillemot FF wheel... cheers, Willem On Mon, 4 Dec 2000 15:35:06 -0000, "Geordie Boot Boy" <[email hidden]> wrote:

Hi, I've been enjoying myself(bigtime actaully) with online N4 racing since yesterday and something is odd. Someone else has mentioned this but i couldn't find the thread anymore.. But i'm 100% sure there's a difference between how the car behaves online and offline.. This is at michigan, i use the default setup and only change the fuel amount now and then. Now offline, it's rock stable and unless i yank the wheel on purpouse i never ever spin, and i literally mean never ever......i can lift the throttle in a flash in a corner...no braking out of the rear at all...i can go on anf of the apron with as many wheels and at any speed without loosing it... rock stable car. But online it's wild (way way better actually) Yesteday in an online Michigan race.. It started while going out of the pits..and from the apron onto the bank..i spinned...ggg Then i spinned 3 times in the last corner cause i lifted the throttle to fast when going into that turn, i was baffled.(no one around me...no cars in front) The car was *much* more nervous and my lap times were way faster then what i get offline...0.5 to 1 second faster(without getting a tow) I noted the weather settings on that server and today tried again offline, same weather settings, and again it was rock stable. Tried multiple fuel settings...i tried wrecking my tires.. didn't matter much.offline i can't get the car to behave even close as to how it behaved online. Now i don't know what it is, but i and others who've seen this are really not imagining things. It's not because i'm more nervous online and drive differently cause i'm excited... cause after a long time of GPL i hardly have the "online race jitters" anymore except when the racing gets reaaaaaal close. It's as if the car setup online is different (even though you don't change it yourself), you can't change the fuel online..so maybe there are other settings 'fixed' aswell... cheers, Willem

Is it possible that the host specified damage/driving model to be arcade? I don't know, haven't got N4 demo yet, but....
