Hi... You are my last great hope!
I have a dsl mdoem and a software firewall (zonealarm), which i turn
off. My system works great for all other internet games including
nascar 3. I have done the alternate lookup for my IP address and it
shows in the connect via. I put in a KNOWN good ip for a race and i hit
start. No matter what I do NOTHING HAPPENS! I get no time out error. The
machine does not lock up it just sits there until i finaly hit exit and
leave. I heard that PAPY techs read these and I hope that I might be
able to help them solve a BIG BIG problem for their new game!
Thanks
Jim

Before you buy.
Hi
It take some time to conect.........
SZ
You need to put in more system specifics. N4 works fine on-line with my
system and I have a DSL modem and software firewall also. No problems for
me here.

ports until you get connectivity. I say this because if I configure my
firewall in a certain way, I can't connect to VROC. So I don't think the
problem lies in the N4 demo.

Even if i exit or kill the firewall its still running...
What I did was downloading taskinfo2000 (Dont know where - search)
and terminated the process tha was running (not showing in taskmanager
win98)
and things worked fine :)

Zonealarm has a couple different threads it opens up when it starts
(minilog, truevector), not all of which are killed when you exit from
the tray icon. Check with MSCONFIG|startup to see what it loads and
kill it from there, then reboot. When you want to put it up again,
recheck the items in MSCONFIG and reboot again.
