Maybe someone has a work around for this.
I just got a cable modem and went to install a network card first and I ran
into a problem. While installing network card is prompts me to insert Win98
CD. I do not have it anymore. Is there anything I can do?
Any help you can offer will be apreciated.

Nope. You need to get yourself a copy of Win98. It needs certain files
that it extracts from .cab files on the cdrom to set up your
Networking card. Everyone needs a personal copy of Win98. The day will
come when Windows gets so conjested and/or screwed up that you will
need to reinstall Windows anyway.

Some PC mfg's put the cabs in the directory \windows\options\cabs on the
local hard disk.

specified... sometimes (but *not* always) the files required are already in the
windows directory, or a sub-directory. A bit of a pain, but it might work for
you.
