First the voodoo 1, $379,then the voodo2 sli rig
$600,then the voodoo3 $320,then the V5500
$450 for a total of 1750 and lets not forget
the rendition I ordered the screaming 3d from
sierra for 330 bucks.and the thriller 3d
450. Now the N4 demo forced me to upgrade both
my machines at once Annihilator2 for mine($360)
and an abit mx for my guest machine $220 for
a total of $3059 just to play the papy sims for
the last 5 years. That's only $1.67 a day so far.
Pretty cheap entertainment heh?
It makes perfect sense to me,some how the logic is
lost when I try to explain it to the whip.
The only 12 steps that interest me are the ones from
my front door to my computer.

Ask "the whip" if she'll sit in front of you every day and entertain
you for hours for just $1.67 a day. Maybe that will help her see the
logic.

Hmm, I would assume that you've been through
some CPUs and mainboards as well?
Not to forget the RAM upgrades, from 16MB FPM
to 32MB EDO to 64MB SDRAM to 128MB PC133
or more? What about steering wheels?
$1.67 seems like a very conservative estimate to me. :)

Someone once posted about why does Pappy support the Rendition
chip, do they expect us to buy a new card just to play their game?
I replied..."yes they do...yes I did.....best money I ever spent!!!"
All 3 of my computers have Voodoo3 3000 cards. All are Celerons.
This is going to be an expensive set of upgrades this time! Glad
Pappy made me do it again? ; )

Yea, but they supported Rendition and only Rendition at that time,
when Glide was king. I play flight-sims too so a Rendition was out of
the question.
Same boat, same whip, same story and I'm stickin' with it: I can spend
hundreds on my rig or thousands on a Porsche, she picked the rig.
