I've been league racing for several years and I have never been able to figure out how to save the tires. I've tried backing off and going real easy in the corners but that only helps a little. I'm aware that if you drop the RF shock that it is supposed to save tires but I don't notice that much of a difference. I'm also aware that the temps should be even across. I can run with the leaders in the early stages but on a long run I always drop back. I've found limited information on the net about saving tires. I would be interested in hearing how successful drivers approach tire management, Any help or advice is greatly appreciated Thanks Brian Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
Interestingly, the pop-up notes in N4 indicate that the tire temps for the load-side of the tires (outer for the right front, inner for the left front) should be set to run 10 deg (I think that's what it says) than the rest of the tire I always thought even was good too... Maybe even does not equal fast? -Larry <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:90mqne$bvs$[email hidden]...

I don't know about the sim. In real life temperature increases a lot (100 degrees+) in the middle of the corner. If you go for even temps in the pits, the outside is running hotter in the corner. So, in real life, they go for the hoter inside in the pits, This increase in the corner does not seem to be modeled realistically in the sim.
