Anyone have the N4 demo running on Win2000? I have a V5 5500 with latest drivers and N4 installs, tests the video mode (1024x768x16), goes to the setup menu and 1st thing I notice is all the text under the driver 1st and last name entry is garbled. The cars show and rotate fine. If I leave that menu after putting in a name I get a blue screen error in 3dfxvs.dll (or similar). I'm DL'ng a new copy now, but don't really think its a corruption issue as it runs on my WinME boot.. N3 runs fine under 2000. Anyone else have N4 and 2000? G Patricks

I had the same problem with the latest 3dfx win2k drivers. I went back to the July release drivers and all works fine for me. To go backwards though I found that I had to manually decompress the exe drivers file and do an driver update from device manager. Follow up - I went into Microsofts Update and downloaded the latest Compatability updates (no, N4 isn't listed), DirectX 8.0, along with the latest 3DFX driver (though I did load the latest one on the 3DFX site, MS Update said I needed theirs, soooo....). Then I downloaded the new N4demo.exe from Papy's site and it installed and ran fine. No video corruption at all, game is smmoth as can be at 1024x768. G Patricks
