Sorry I haven't a clue where to ask this... does anyone know of a newsgroup or website that explains how to get orphan deleted program headings removed from the add/remove applet in the control panel? I have several listings that have been off my system for ages...any help would be appreciated. -- dave henrie Free the ICR2 source code!
MS makes an unsupported tool called TweakUI which does this among other things. Get it at http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/PowerToys/Networking/NTTwea kUI.asp "Dave Henrie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:7NuY5.128240$[email hidden]...

I have a little program called "Add/Remove Cleaner", Dave. It's about 370Kb. If you want it I can e-mail it. -- Regards, Bruce Kennewell, Canberra, Australia. --------------------------- Dave Henrie <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:7NuY5.128240$[email hidden]... > Sorry I haven't a clue where to ask this... > does anyone know of a newsgroup or website that explains > how to get orphan deleted program headings removed from the > add/remove applet in the control panel? Piece 'o' cake. Install TweakUI 1.33 (the latest, all-windows version) and go to the appropriate tab. -Larry "Dave Henrie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:7NuY5.128240$[email hidden]...

98 Original version only. Win98 SE doesn't have it. I would download the upgraded 1.33 All-Windows version though. -Larry "Scott" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:KfxY5.186$[email hidden]...

Dave... I use the "Add/Remove Cleaner" same as Bruce.....picked it up on ZDnet some time ago...it works great! But, there's lots of choices around. I still owe you an email "thanking you" for the info you gave me on the V5 video problem I was having running N4. It turned out to be some ephemeral "but" because a fresh reinstall of N4 did the trick. You've helped me (and others here on r.a.s.) a lot lately....thanks so much. I hope I can return the favor sometime(s) in the future. Regards, Tom PS: How big of a file will your email program accept?
