I have problem with 1152x864x16 resolution D3D. Something is not right. I feel very uncomfortable and cannot judge the line. My times are bad and unconsistant. I'm afraid something is misaligned here. I'm feeling best in1024x768x16 which is my regular resolution. 1280x960x16 isn't bad too. But 1152x864x16 just isn't right. Is anybody else having similar experience. My system spec: Cel 500 V3 2000 128 mb
What are your frame rates? Push "F" and monitor them at different resolutions. A frame rate ranging from the 30's into the low teens is likely with your spec machine at those high resolutions. You need a stable frame rate for consistent laps. I prefer 30, but can tolerate 25. Personally, I'd run at 800x600 on your machine, especially if you're playing online. I don't thing this is a problem, since 1280 is also OK. BTW my frame rates doesn't change much with resolution. 1280 is very similar to 800. It looks like V3 can handle it in single driving.
