Ok back with another cockpit question. The steering wheel has
tire indicators, but what do they represent? 4 green bars that don't seem
to move(granted the longest I've gone is about 30 laps in one stint) and
colored tire indicators that change from Purple to blue to who knows what?
What should I bee looking for with the tires and when should I be
concerned enough to pit for new ones?

Free the ICR2 source code!
I believe they start moving down as they wear. You can change the
wear and fuel usage multipliers to something like 8x. You should
see some change then.

I may be wrong, but aren't the green bars for your brakewear?
I don't know if the same bug exists in F1CS2000, but in F12000, if you had
mipmapping on, the tire indicators never changed colors. They should get red
hot quickly if you nose into a wall and just spin the rear wheels.
The tire bar indicators should get smaller as your tires wear, and the temps
range from blue (cold) to red (hot).

Nope...

If I overheat the tires, I loose grip, but there is still lots of tread
showing on the
green bars. So if I back off some, will the temp colors cool off? Or if I
cook a tire does it stay cooked?
See how a "real" manual would have been helpful?

and
Are they for tire wear then? I've been through the manual, but that's of
little help.

I
Yes.
> cook a tire does it stay cooked?
No. Try running with 4X tire wear. After 9 or so laps at Indy your left
front tire wear bar will be red and your left rear will be yellow/red.
> See how a "real" manual would have been helpful?
Yes I guess. I never even checked to see if there was a manual :-)
