I was watching the FIA Rally year in review show on Speedvision last night, and heard something kinda neat. They did a quick in-car shot (with audio) of Colin McRae, and you could hear has navigator (I forget at the moment what the passenger is called) say "over crest" (or whatever he says) and it sounded identical to the voice in CMR1 and 2. I just thought that was kinda neat. I been trying to keep up on this FIA Rally stuff on Speedvision since getting digital cable, and it's really an intriguing series. It makes CMR2 much more enjoyable.

Cool. Here in Norway, without eurosport, we only have to stick with half an hour review on swedish tv. You know, Colin's navigator is the one that have read the messages in CMR. (If you didn't already know) -- -Ole-Martin-Mrk- Today is yesterday tomorrow

I haven't played CMR2, but I'd guess Nicky Grist (McRaes co-driver) certainly did the voice overs.
The accuracy of the navigator messages is really good in CMR2 as well. Nice to see that every corner and kink is announced properly, so you're never left guessing. That's one of the things which let down V-Rally 2. It says on the CMR2 box that not only did Codemasters sample Nicky Grist's voice, but he also helped them work out the system they use in the game, which is probably why it's so reliable. Interesting to see that 2-left is sharper than 4-left in CMR2, but the other way round in most rally games.
