As rrevved said, you will love it .. eventually. Out of the box it can be very stiff, needs a good few hours to start loosening up, it will also feel quite notchy compared to your MSFF (did you have one?). I think you will be dissapointed with the pedals, no possibility of stuffing a squash ball behind these, you'll see what I mean. They are OK for most games where precise brake control is not required but you'll struggle with something like GPL. My tip would be to not make your mind up for the first 6-10 hours, also, once ther novelty factor of the very strong forces the RS can produce wears off, lower the gain settings, you can feel more subtle effects, plus you don't end up with biceps like Arnie. If you are running GPL check out Eaglewomen site and Nunnini's for tips on setting it up. Yeah, slot's site is a pretty good place to check possible mods to the ACT FF RS, although I disagree with the GPL core.ini setting recommended for this wheel. -- Chris "Ambulater" Lee "Don't Bother Running.........You'll Just Die Tired." As others have said you will probably not like the pedals. If you have a MSFF you CAN use the pedals with the Act Labs wheel. It just takes a little modification to pull it off. Look on Slot Tweaks site, www.slottweak.com in the forums. link for the forums is not real visible. It's on the left menu down a few pages. Wish he'd make a button for it so it would be more visible. Anyway, in the forum show topics for the last year and look for the topic MMFF pedals with Act Labs Force RS. It should give you more than enough info to pull it off. I love my MSFF pedals with the Act Labs. I actually did a 38.5 or 6 at Monza in the F2 Brabham. I know others have probably gone faster but that's the fastest I've gone there in the F2. Course I spun off a couple times and finished like 15th but..... :-) Steve-S PS. Mine is still notchy. Hope you have better luck with yours. The belt is reinforced with Kevlar and that's why it takes longer to break in. Course it shouldn't break. :-) On Thu, 21 Dec 2000 19:31:51 -0000, "Dan Leach" <[email hidden]> wrote: >Ive just orderd one... it wont get here for a few days and i was wondering >what to expect from it. > also... is there any tricks like the MSFF squashball-under-the-pedal >type thing with it? > thanx chaps dan leach > -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 80,000 Newsgroups - 16 Different Servers! =-----
