I have installed Directx 8, and from this moment, the forcefeedback in NFS-IV has completely changed (for the worse). The bimpy roud doesn't seem to have any effect anymore on the wheel, where it previously did. Does anyone have the same proplems? Ramon
Ramon, No, No, No, I much prefer the "bimpy roud" .. brought a smile to my face, shaed of "Allo, Allo" (British Codemy Series) Maxx On Sun, 24 Dec 2000 13:30:27 +0100, "Ramon Verlinden" <[email hidden]> wrote: >cheez, I meant the 'bumpy road', instead of the 'bimpy roud'. Bl**dy H*ll, can't believe I messed up again, I'm sure I checked the spelling so where did the "g" go at the end of wrong. I'm sure we have a letter thief working in r.a.s. Merry Christmas Maxx PS. Apologies to anyone reading this looking for info on directx and force-feedback and having to read this twaddle. On Sun, 24 Dec 2000 21:08:38 GMT, Maxx <[email hidden]> wrote:

Can someone please help Ramon, rather than help him, myself and others have instead commented on his humorous spelling error, namely the "bimpy roud" and have perhaps distracted people from his original question. Unfortunately I do not have DX8 or NFS-IV so cannot help, so anyone who has, could they please help him (see below) TIA Maxx On Sun, 24 Dec 2000 13:26:56 +0100, "Ramon Verlinden" <[email hidden]> wrote:

The obvious step is to go back to your previous version of direct X and see if things return to normal. Apparently you'll need some help from a Direct X uninstaller. Use a search engine and enter "Direct X unistall", you'll get a bunch of leads. -- Don Scurlock Vancouver,B.C. GPLRank -5.29 Come see how you rank, at the GPLRank site http://gplrank.ringlord.com/
Ok Don, You gave me THE advise. I uninstalled (should be much easier) directx 8 and re-installed directx 7. And what do you think, The forcefeedback was ok again!! Ramon Don Scurlock <[email hidden]> schreef in berichtnieuws 90156D7CFdscurlock@news...
