How do you keep the rear tires from going off? Even with 1x wear
settings,
I overheat the rears after only about 5 laps. These are hard tires, and the
green wear indicators are still good, but if I get past the 2nd shade of
color in the tire temp blocks, I start spinning out and loosing the rear
easily.
Any clues?

You could try softs. Your hard compounds could be sliding too
much causing excessive wear. I run my soft tires at 4x and
easily last 10+ laps at indy.
