Open the Talladega.txt file, look for an entry labled Spdwy 1 change the 1 to a 0 On Mon, 25 Dec 2000 10:33:23 -0500, me <[email hidden]> wrote: >In N3,how do you remove the restrictor plate ? I can't get good times >at Talladega >Thanks >
The plate is not limiting your times. either your driving or setup is. If you run without the plate you will have to compare your times to other plateless drivers. But then if you run against regular folks, you'll still be slow because you are not improving your non-plate setup or driving.... Since the "sense" of speed in n3 is very minor between 205 and 225mph I fail to see the 'allure' of removing the plate. This is a recurring topic that goes back to N1, so I'm not carping at you just commenting on my lack of interest in plateless racing. dave henrie "Rich#8" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Ok, Dave, I need all the help I can get! Your points are valid, I could use help in my set up and driving too. Can you suggest a good setup for Talla. ? Thanks Dave Henrie wrote:

There are people who can run 200-202 WITH the restrictor plate. Check for some different setups before you cheat. there are plenty of setups scattered around the web. The biggest single factor is tape. For most pickup races you can pile tons of tape on...like 75% or more. You'll have to experiment some, the higher the outside temps, the less tape you can use. But that will really help. Try some of the wonswap setups for tally or the setups from blackholemotorsports. dave henrie goooood luck. "me" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... Outside air temperature has a huge effect on lap speeds/times at Tally. You may see as much as 5 mph difference when running at 30 degrees as opposed to 90. That's about the same speeds I'm running. Try some different setups...
