Thanks to a tip from Dave Henrie I finally got ICRII running under Windows. Haven't played this game for years and to my amazement it's still a whole load of fun! I did a search on Google but couldn't find any interesting ICRII links. Are there any updates/track addons/patches/etc for ICRII? I run GPL in 1024, so the 640 resolution in ICRII is a pain to my eyes, it would be nice if it were possible to run ICRII in a higher res. I just got this great idea: why don't we ask Papy to make a CART sim? :) Andre
Is that windows ME or 98? I can't get it to run under ME. How did you do it? Mike Andre Warringa wrote:

It runs for me under Win ME with no problems. Andre, If my memory serves me correctly, Alison has some links/updates on her website. True, these are intended for the ICR2 tracks in GPL, but the graphics improvements (might?) work for you in ICR2 anyhow. Regards, Bert "Andre Warringa" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Here are some questions for you folks with 'delayed' sound in ICR2/Cart. 1. Are you all using Win ME? 2. What are the IRQ settings for your sound card. Even tho it runs under windows, ICR2(even the windy.exe version) is really a dos game. Perhaps if you adjust your irq settings of your soundcard to the old soundblaster standards... 5,3,1 or 7,3,1 this "may" help. Just a shot in the dark.(like most my advice) :> dave henrie "Andre Warringa" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > On Thu, 28 Dec 2000 11:28:14 -0800, "Bert Hilberink" > <[email hidden]> wrote: > > >

Not sure whether you are you running the DOS version or the Windows version. There was a patch to the Windows version (Windy.exe) which takes it to version 1.0.1 and dated 15/7/96 and a patch for the DOS version which takes it to 1.0.2 which I downloaded in November 96. BTW the problem with Windy.exe which means you cant use Direct Draw goes away with Windows ME. Not sure which version you are running. There is a patch for ICR2 for Windows dated 15/7/96 which takes it to version 1.0.1 There is a patch to the DOS version which I downloaded in Nov. 96 which takes it to version 1.0.2 Cant remember what they fixed but there was a sound sync. problem with the opening video. By the way the problem with Windy where you cant use Direct Draw is fixed in Windows ME.
