Just starting out with my LWFF, but how the hell do you guys get sitting
comfortably? The pedals keep moving on my floor and I just feel damn
uncomfortable. Any tips 'n' tricks from the pros?!
Thanks in advance,
M.

I think the general feeling is that the pedals are the worst part of the
LWFF. I made mine more comfortable by going down to the hardware store and
getting a couple of those teflon furniture sliders. The self adhesive ones
bond nicely to the LWFF pedals and allow the sole of your foot to slip along
the pedal. The slight slippage helps a lot since the ankle pivot point of
your foot doesn't line up with the pivot point of the pedal. Additionaly,
since mine are on carpet, I glued a couple of patches of velcro (the "hook"
side of the velcro) to the bottom of the pedals. If I was on hard floor I'd
try some additional rubber feet.

>They shouldn't move really, they're suppose to have some non-sliding
thingy's underneath.
Are you on a shiny surface like tiles or lino (sp?). If thats the case you
can either try putting something heavy behind the more something sticky
under then, double sided tape might work.

I took a length of pine shelving (3/4"x12") and cut it to length so it
would butt up against the wall and extend into the footspace under my
desk. Then I used double-sided foam tape to stick the pedal assembly
onto it. Worked swell.

If we knew what sort of floor you have it would be easier to tell you
solution.
In my case I have a carpet in the study and the pedals used to slip
something dreadful.
Fixed this by buying some clear plastic carpet protector.
The one you use in heavy traffic areas. It has hundreds of small plastic
grippers underneath and the pedals don't move at all.
It's cheap too, available at carpet stores or hardware stores.
