I have a V4 FF wheel...it is set as default, however after I set the wheel
parameters in controller setup. it reverts to keyboard control. The
assignments change right away---change steering, for example to joy x, and
it changes right back to keyboard.
The V4 is listed on the bottom as the default controller...
Any ideas ??
Is it set up correctly in windows control panel, and is it the only
controller there ?

Yes--all buttons work in cal screen, etc....
I thought it was caused by my optical mouse, disabled that, but no help...
In control panel, general screen, the OK was strobing with not
connected--but I removed and reinstalled the wheel software and NFS...the OK
now stays on all the time, but still doesn't work within the game.
I have all updated drivers for my SB live Value sound card (the wheel plugs
into the game port of the card), same for GeForce 256, etc
