Hi,
I've just bought Warm Up and first impressions seem to be good.
However, I only played it for about 5 minutes because of a problem with
the graphics.
When running the race, part of the top of the screen keeps flickering
as if there is momentarily a black triangle being drawn on it. Also,
some parts of the screen display (speed, etc) are obviously drawing
corrupted images.
I've just installed a new GeForce2MX card with this (latest drivers
from NVidia), and I'm not sure if it's a problem with the gfx card or
with the game.
My spec :
Duron 600, 256 MB, GeForce2MX (Creative Labs)
I've installed a FULL install of the game and have left all graphics
settings as the game put them.
Anyone else had similar problems or found a fix for it ?
Cheers,
nick.

I have not seen this in Warm-Up (I've only tried the demo) but GPL does a
similar thing when I use 6.49 ref. drivers. I've never seen any problems
using 6.31, so try that
Check in your advanced display properties for d3d, make sure vsynch is set
to off.

Thanks,
I'm running with the 6.31 drivers. What version of DirectX do you
recommend with this ? I'm currently on DX7.
I'm thinking about ditching the ref drivers and just going with the
drivers from creative.....
Cheers,
Nick

Thanks, I'll try that tonight. Although it doesn't seem to be a vsynch
problem, but looks more like some sort of math error. It's as if one
point of a triangle is being drawn right out of the screen, and so a
big spikey triangle is drawn there. It's only for a split second
though, but still noticeable.
Also, when the black flag comes up, it's got half of it as the black
flag, and half of it with a couple of big numbers. Also, the pictures
of the cars at the top of the screen next to the rev counter (in the
arcade mode) keep flickering on and off......
Damn..
