I have just started playing Nascar Heat here in the UK, and have a coupleof questions which I hope someone can help with. The manual talks about adaptive AI (opponents dynamically adjusting in strength depending on how you drive). By changing the opponent strength to one of a number of options I can overide this, but which is the default setting to actually use this adaptive AI feature? (or have I completely misunderstood the manuel) The other question involves the yellow flag. Once it appears, I loose control of my car to the computer and have to wait what seems a great amount of time before I am placed back in the car again. Apart from simply turning off the yellow flag feature, is there any way to speed matters up? Thanks PJ

I wonder if you have auto-pitting turned on. I have forced-pit-speed turned off and manual pitting on, the only time the CPU takes control is 1 second before the green flys. You can look in the C:\program files\hasbro interactive\Nascar Heat\option.cfg file for the "forced_pit_speed" setting. Make sure "hardcore=yes" is set and you choose Hardcore from the setup screen too. > Apart from simply turning > off the yellow flag feature, is there any way to speed matters up? Don't crash the AI out :-) Usually, the only time I get a yellow is if I cause it. > > Thanks > PJ -- Jason Monds http://www.proracingclub.com - Pro Racing Club!
