Please get rid of Larry McReynolds. I'm not a big Nascar fan but I know I'd
enjoy it so much more if he was not broadcasting the races. His voice is
just plain irritating. I don't care how much insight he has, it makes me
want to change stations.
As Tony Kornheiser described him during the Daytona 500: "And all I can say
about one announcer is that he is a Goober."
jb
Yeah if he spoke "ENGLISH" it would really help out.
im tired of hearing about...
1. rain that washed the track down with rubber
2. cars that need "extrie tars"
3"we used to do what he's doin"
and i know "goober" doesent say it but get rid of "boogity, boogity, boogity
too

thing abut larry mac is that he speaks from the heart. He loves the
sport and it shows. You would rather have the NBC crew of Dallenbach and
Parsons?

>One of the big problems with the FOX group is that they think it's about
THEM, not about the race. They think they're such "personalities" that we
tune in to hear / see them. Also, they are more interested in telling us
what they think, rather than what's going on out on the track. And yes,
Larry Mac's voice makes me turn the sound down. IMO, he has yet to tell us
something we don't know. Also, someone should tell Chris Myers this is not
open-mike night at the local Comedy Club.

I tend to disagree. I think FOX has a good blend of coverage, only
talking nonsense when there's nothing going on in the race (circling
under yellow for instance). Although Larry Mac may not be the best tv
personality, he beats the hell out of Alan Bestwicke. Benny used to be
great with Bob and Ned, and I just don't think he has a good "fit"
with the people he's working with now.

IMHO those of us that watched espn and tnn realize that he has a lot to
offer, even if it does come with an accent....so much so that he deserves
more respect than you aparently realize.

excitement?
