Hi gang,
this evening I got a cable modem, and now I am of course interested
in trying VROC races. But how to start? What to read first, and
what to do then? Well, of course I know: practice, practice and
practice... :-)
I am also using the firewall by ZoneAlarm, I guess that might cause
some problems?
And it really would be nice to find somebody near my time zone,
Finland UTC-2:00, just for testing the connection before getting
to real races... Any fellow Finns?

Turn OFF the firewall while racing. Either that or muck around for weeks
finding the proper ports to open and close. EagleWoman's site is the best
place to begin setting your system up for GPL.

I hope you have sent a lovely card to your family, they will miss you.

Don't turn it of just click 'allow server' for GPL in the programs
section of Zone Labs. It works just fine.

You guessed right. It might. And it will:>
There was a thread "ZoneAlarm and VROC" couple of weeks ago.
I posted how I've configured it there.
