Wow. Played GPL at my mate's house last weekend and it's ace! My Ferrari FF
wheel and copy of GPL are arriving at Staples on Monday (whoop!) - in the
mean time I've been playing the demo (with keyboard controls, auto shifting)
at Watkins Glen. My best (after well over 100 laps of practice in the Lotus)
is 1:10.76 and I was wondering if there were any "keyboard hotlap" times to
compare this to?
Also, is there any way to drive on different tracks in the demo? I saw
mention of a Monza demo and downloaded what I think is the track data files
(2036k .zip from Papyrus) but can't get it to work - "Can't load track,
quitting weekend" or something. Doh...

I have a 1:06.4 replay with a keyboard and a
lotus if you are interested.
In my opinion:
-auto shifting is BAD.
-to get fast with a key board is HARD.
Save your fingers some pain and wait till the
wheel =)
My configuration:
gas: numpad 8
steer: numpad 4/6
shift up: F7
brake: F6
shift down: F5
