Well, there's the official forums, at
http://www.gtr-game.com/forums/
Then there's a place for downloads, at
http://www.m4driving.it/files/33,1.html
And then a general site, which links to other sites, covering a bunch of
racing games, at
http://www.bhmotorsports.com/
I think a google search for "GTR" will get you many other sites. It's not
that hard to do.

Yea Darus its like it gives them a feeling of power or something. Ive never
been able to understand why someone would even waste the time with that sort
of reply.
Not sure if this one is listed but its a compilation of sites.

Why not? What I can't understand is why some people can't do things for
themselves. If the original poster wanted to know the "best" GTR site, why
didn't he find this out himself? Now he could've asked, what do people
think is the best GTR site, which is a totally different request.
I thought the request to be very odd. If the poster is such a GTR
enthusiast, why wouldn't he know where the best site was? Why ask in the
first place?
To me, the best adage to follow is that if you want something done right, do
it yourself.

But sometimes many hands makes light work.... ( or something like that ).
The reason I asked was basically that I had a few sites in my fav's but
often I find that other sites pop up with out anyone knowing.
It does seem that unlike every other sim on the pc this great sim dosn't
have the same level of surrport as such titles like GPL...
All I wanted to find out was if I'd missed out on any great tracks or car
sets...
Things like that.
You know I was one of the 1st people do develope car skins for GPL..
something that almost got me in trouble with Sierra. But I soon discovered
that I would spend far to much time making things instead of playing them !!
I`m looking forward to a few new sims due at the end of this year, and I'm
very happy in knowing that the PC sim market isn't as bad as I once thought
!!

Perhaps he just acquired the
game and isn't familiar with the sites we take for granted. Or perhaps
he was looking for info on site ppl. have found that are little "gems",
lesser known sites with good content. Or any of a thousand reasons for
asking. Is such a request filling up Usenet? Will the internet collapse
under the weight of such posts?

Perhaps, perhaps, looking for these so-called gems could be done without the
help of others?
Anyhow, it doesn't matter. Though you complain of people who say "do a
search and you'll find it", I admonish those who let others do what they can
just as well do themselves.
This whole thing is of no significance, to either of us.
Happy Father's Day.
