Dual-Boot And no Jack, WinME does not support NTFS, just Fat32 (and of course the good ole FAT) "rrevved" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > On Wed, 14 Feb 2001 06:03:35 GMT, "Jack" <[email hidden]> wrote: > > >About to upgrade my 'puter and since I will probably run W2K and ME, > > Both? >

**** Post for FREE via your newsreader at post.usenet.com **** WinME is just the latest upgrade (?) to the Win9x family of OS's. It supports the same Fat-16 and Fat-32 formats. -Larry "Jack" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:Xcpi6.93646$[email hidden]... > About to upgrade my 'puter and since I will probably run W2K and ME, I was > wondering if ME supports NTFS or just Fat32. I like my old tightly- coded dos software, it does a lot of what I need (at blazing speed) and I can't remember the last time it crashed, maybe 10 years ago... If not, I guess I'll have to go the dual boot option on my next PC.

WinME uses the FAT/FAT32 file systems, depending on which one you set it up on. Win2K can also use these, as well as NTFS. If you plan on dual-booting, don't use NTFS, unless you want a partition that will only be seen by Win2K!
