NFS III flashing problem

I know it's Very Old, but I still like it! I just upgraded to a NVidia GeForce 2 GTS 32 DDR (Creatives Annihilator 2 3D Blaster) with a P3 600 cpu and 328 m. memory and now when running NFS III there is a terribly annoying random intermittent screen flicker - I am running the 631 detonator drivers. Does anyone know how to get rid of this screen flicker? Please Help, Thanks! lf (please respond in this newsgroup, thanks)

It's a known issue with certain GTS 2 nVidia cards, I'm afraid. I had the 64MB version, and the flickering was too much for me. Until new drivers or game patches appear, you're stuck. As NFS 3 is a pretty old game now, I don't think you will get a patch for that. Some people found that if you disable v-synch, it helped, but that is not really an ideal solution if you still want good FPS and a quality image.

actually I just solved it by enabling forced 3x3 anti-aliasing under Direct 3d - somehow that worked! Thanks!
