There are NO *fistfights* in pitlane! Call this a NASCAR sim!? There
I was , peacefully tooling along behind the pace car at Daytona during a
yellow, and one of the AI cars, moving at *8 million!* miles per hour,
plowed into the back of my car. Happened more than once too even when I try
to keep out of the way up by pit wall. N4 is certainly the best NASCAR sim
that I've seen yet but I'm definitly getting the impression that codeing AI
behaviour under yellows is one tough job. Since you can't cover every dang
situation at least code in a small first person combat game so you can work
out your frustrations in the game rather than on spouse, offspring or pets.
I'd feel much better if I could pop the nose of some virtual driver
(!suicidal maniac, more like! )

(commercial ends and camera comes on the reveal the wrecks of two cars at
Daytona)
<announcer> For you folks just joining us there has been a terrible wreck in
the the Tri-Oval. The drivers appear to be OK: I can see them moving around
in the car and the window nets are down. The drivers seem to be talking to
one another...
(scene: Dave_Erb gets out his mangled Poncho, checks out the tore up back
end, shakes fist at Al Gorythmn ( a big, ugly, but somehow effette brute).
AG jumps outa his car and throws helmet at DE. DE shouts back some
inarticulate phrase that contains references to animals, parentage and
sexual practises.
!FIGHTS ON!
DE plants fist squarely on AG's nose. AG grabs DE's arm , swings him round
and throws him at wall. DE bounces back up , lands two quick jabs to AG 's
fat gut. AG, looking somewhat green, tackles DE and down on the infeild
grass they go. Much rolling around, throat grabbing and cursing ensues. A
cloud of fire fighters , ambulance attendents, NASCAR Officials and pit crew
jump the battling duo and pulls them apart. More cursing followed by surly
looks as the two are escorted to seperate ambulances.)
<announcer> Shocking! However I'm sure those two will be buying each other
beers by the time of the next race. After all this is NASCAR racin'; racin'
fit for all the family viewing........
<director> Whats that pit crane camera thinking of! Get it on the drivers ,
not the damn cars! Gawdamnit!
<sponser rep> Oh man this is great! Our logo on his shoulder was right in
the middle of the shot when he banged into the wall. Pity about the blood on
it though.........
(fade to commercial)

I guess not many things have changed under yellow since N2!
