Just finished downloading the demo and thought I would follow up Larry's earlier enquiry about how the game worked with the 64MB Radeon. I set the game to run at 1024x768, 32bit colour, D3D, + MS FF wheel set at the demo's default values. Everything worked as it should, FPS were between 35-40 in cockpit view with steering wheel enabled(it's a bit cramped!). The replay was showing FPS between 45-55, for some reason? I don't understand that, but I'm sure someone will enlighten me. As this is only the demo, I can't say how accurate these figures will be when I eventually buy the full game and stick a full grid on the track! I will try the Open GL mode shortly and post my findings later, if anyone is interested. But the main thing is, the game looks superb, it hasn't crashed yet, and I can't wait for it to show up here in merry old England. P.S I've set the steering to full non-linear. Is this right? It seems awfully twitchy but it doesn't pull left as much as before. ICQ#104825454

Quick OpenGL update. Exactly the same settings as for D3D, and the frame rate goes up to between 50-70 ! I didn't expect that much of an increase. Replay's are between 70-85 FPS. Seems stable enough, as well. This is looking better all the time. BTW-I am using the latest beta drivers from ATI (7078). ICQ#104825454
Thanks nice info. I'm wondering to get RADEON or GeForce2 right now... Anyway, what cpu are you using with?
