Just got a new MSFF wheel. Eabled FFB in GPL. Hop on to Monza....get 0.5 FPS. This is on a machine with NO problems doing 36FPS at that setting. Hop down to 640 x 480, still no joy...getting about 1 FPS. I know the MS wheel is supposed to be CPU intensive, but it can't be THAT bad.
Also, on the Control Panel, it says Error initiaing Force Feedback. I'm guessing its a USB problem. I have an AMD based computer. Tyler Eaves wrote in message ... >Just got a new MSFF wheel. It's more realistic and better for your fps ;-) Th. Simonnet

Wrong :) GPL disables the return to neutral force anyway, so it doesn't really matter :) -- Olav K. Malmin remove .spam when replying
The original wheel WAS supposed to be a cpu hog...but even back then your results would have been outside the norm. I guess make sure you have the latest drivers for the wheel. And if you are running a wheel profiler, try disabling that before starting gpl. good luck. dave henrie "Tyler Eaves" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:xSal6.794$[email hidden]... > Just got a new MSFF wheel. Their FF2 joystick isn't much better. I returned it because I was losing about 10fps in European Air War with FFB enabled on that stick.
I found that using the glide patch that's available out there really helped my FPS when using the MSFF wheel. Not sure where I got it from but the filename is Glide2x.zip ... I'm sure it's easily available out there. It matters for CPU and fps. I'll try it !! Th. Simonnet
