It's been a bit draining, but I did a few laps at Michigan last night.
Hadn't run N4 since the incident...
I am wondering what lap speeds people are achieving at Michigan (full
version). During practise, I am running with the field (set at 100%, of
course) passing some cars, getting passed by some cars. I am consistently
last (43 of 43) in the standings. I am using the fast set-up and have
tweaked it a bit here and there (nothing major).
I would love to know what speeds people are achieving with the fast set-up,
with their own set-ups and where they rank vs. the AI cars at 100%. I could
run consistently in the top 5 at Michigan in N3 (set at 100%) with minimal
problems.
Lastly, out of interest in details, my laps are almost always within 1 mph
of each other...very consistent...just slow, apparently. During one
session, I had one lap that was 3+ mph faster than all the others, which
launched me to 4th place. It is this lap which started me thinking about
timing problems (a la GPL 1.1 if I remember correctly).
