Anyone else having this problem, I've tried different drivers for the V3 1.05 and 1.07. I'm using DX8 also. Is my vid card just a turd or what? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! P3V4X V3000 256m micron sb live pro 2 wheel Thanks J. Janasov

where is the stuttering happening and when? (all the time? certain corners? at the pits? ) dave henrie have you used enditall before launching N4? "J. Janasov" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:979r82$f1l$[email hidden]...

For me, it happens only at certain corners. For example, I can get bad stutters in the turns at Rockingham, even though indicated FPS is in the mid-40's. I tried turning off skid-marks, didn't help. It's not related to disk-cache, as some have implied, since I see absolutely no disk activity when it happens. Running a Duron 700, 128MB RAM, V3000 (4.12.01.0666), SBLive!, LWFF, DirectX7a. My first thought would be the limited texture memory on the V3. Also with my V5, I got MUCH better framerates with D3d...make sure you choose that option, not opengl. Use enditall to stop background programs. turn your world details down in the game. lower the car detail... can you tell I'm shooting in the dark here? :) dave henrie "Pierre Robitaille" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

I'm already running in D3d and with all others apps killed. The strange thing is I don't always experience the stutter... I've tried to notice some pattern that could be causing it, but nothing so far. Going to try playing with the graphic details next and see what happens, although I'm not sure it will do anything. The FPS stay relatively high (40+) when the stutter occurs. Your shot in the dark is still appreciated, thanks! ;) Dave Henrie wrote:
