I can run laps without crashes. Also, the relative speed at various tracks
seems inconsistent. At Dover, for example, I lap the field at 100% in a 40
lap race. At Martinsville, I almost get lapped with the field set to 100%
in a 50 lap race (ok, maybe only 1/2 a lap behind). Good news is, this can
easily be adjusted in the track.ini file.
I am sure some of this will be fixed. I am really worried that it will not
be completely fixed. I have waited for so many years to race against a good
set of AI cars. I am almost fed up. I really don't enjoy it when the AI is
stupid and I my time is running out to enjoy it before I give up on sim
racing. I wish I could just say that Heat has solved the problems and give
up on Papy, but I don't think they have.
F so far. N3 was a C, NR1999 was a C+. So things aren't going in the
right direction.

Have you previewed the upcoming patch?
> Have you previewed the upcoming patch? What patch is that? I am sure there will be one, but when and how complete
is certainly an unknown. Personally I might have just given up on sim
racing before a patch arrives. As I said, I have been waiting for years to
get a decent AI and N4 was supposed to provide it. What was released was
the worst AI ever. I am not dissatisfied to have the game engine to
practice on and run some small mock races (with 6-9 opponents). What I am
unhappy about was the belief that the AI was going to be better. This was
also stated about N3 and its AI was worse than NR1999 and was never fixed
(well, it was changed, we traded one set of problems for another). Bristol
in N3 was never raceable since cars would just bump off the outside walls
after making a hyper charge into the corners. Not usable to me.
