Wow... CMR2.0 is fun! I decided I needed a bit of time away from GPL so
off to the store to buy NFS:PU.
CAN$45 for an "old" game! I don't think so. But there on the shelf for $35
is CMR2.0. What the hell.
Get it home and load it up. Wheee!!! This is a seriously fun and well done
game (after a bit of editing to get Grist's voice back) with beautiful
graphics.
Until someone invents CMRRank I think I'm going to have a bit of fun for the
next little while...
Dale.
HOw did you get Nicky's voice back over that awful original version.

A fellow r.a.s'er was kind enough to send me a file called englishspeech.bfl
(which is Nicky's voice from the European version of CMR ) - thanks Lou!!
Rename it to engUSAspeech.bfl and replace the lame version in the
CountrySpecific/USA folder and Nicky's back.
Dale.
Check out RallyOnline at http://www.sportplanet.com/cmr2 and download some
much needed updates to CMR2...like one to get rid of those annoying tinted
windshields on the in car view.
There is also a page of links there and you will find a couple online
competitions including an online ladder and a hotlaps compitition that has a
ranking somewhat like GPLRank.

Isn't it funny how a simple little thing like that affects our enjoyment of
the game? I think it was the 3rd or 4th corner that I noticed the lack of
Grist's voice. I actually was disappointed for quite a while.
Dale (who needs to get out a bit more, I think)

That's NASCAR's own Ned Jarrett. I laughed like hell the first time I
heard it. I can't imagine a more jarrinly out-of-place commentator.
