HELP: GP3 - Backing up CD?

I just bought GP3 (now that it's $29 in Canada) and can't copy the CD to use as a backup. I've seen this discussed for N4, and tried using both Adaptec and CloneCD, but nothing seems to work - Adaptec boots me out saying that there was an error reading the GP3 cd, CloneCD just hangs showing no change in the % bars after any amount of time. Can anyone help???
