Nice pictures, Phil. Thanks for sharing. Man, you Convicts sure know how to
have fun! I didn't see any Ferrari fans dressed as horses, members of Kiss or
Roman soldiers at Indianapolis last year. And who was that incredibly
beautiful woman in the black pants and the McLaren hat? Hello, Nurse!

Great shots. Looks like quite a bit of action. Glad to see you got a few
photos of the birds hanging about. There's always _something_ to look at on
race day...

First, get a decent
telephoto lens and use the field of depth (see professional photographers),
second, crop and enlarge photos.
Otherwise absolutely brilliant.

Sorry, my mistake. Sport's photographers use a short depth of field to blur
out the background and focus on the object, e.g. with soccer, they use a low
horizon line and blur out the stands, thus creating a more powerful and less
confused image.
As to your request for how to achieve this effect: a mathematical nightmare
of f-stops and focus. I admit, it is a long time since I tried to achieve
these effects and can't really remember how to do it.
Just been to the bookcase.
You need a wide aperture and a dull day to reduce over exposure.
Alternatively you could use a dark filter to control the exposure.
Anyway, this isn't a photography class, and I'm an amateur.

Oh no.
Remain calm, I don't think anyone noticed.

Be in the right place, get the pictures, deliver on time.
Looks like you did it.

I've heard of these Olympics...didn't beleive they existed tho...don't
the
rules makers prohibit folks from going around a track without
flame-retardent suits?
Next you'll be telling me they allow folks to throw bowling balls across the
infield or
reward diving into a pool...
