Juan Pablo Montoya: "The Malaysian Grand Prix is going to be quite an interesting race especially because with the expected very hot weather the tyres should work quite well. The FW23 can be competitive in both, wet or dry conditions so I am not bothered about which weather we are going to have in Malaysia. Our car has great potential - even if we are at the start of the season and we need to do some more work on all areas of the car but as the season goes on we believe that it should be much faster. I have never raced on the Sepang circuit and it looks a quite difficult circuit to learn but I think we should be all right. I have spent the last week watching on-board camera recordings of last year's race, I've studied the telemetry data and have also driven many laps on video games ! I feel ready for it."
He's already said he likes PC games, GPL his favourite and he used to like GP2 he said, maybe he has some Malaysia addons for GP3?? Other than that could be F12K or uggg....Playstation :-) Juan da mon! rik anthrax <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:_9vs6.77660$[email hidden]... > Juan Pablo Montoya: > "The Malaysian Grand Prix is going to be quite an interesting race > especially because with the expected very hot weather the tyres shouldwork > quite well. Judged by his results on Friday's practice, his pc hardware might need a bit of an upgrade... :-p Blues "rik anthrax" <[email hidden]> schreef in bericht news:_9vs6.77660$[email hidden]... > Juan Pablo Montoya: > "The Malaysian Grand Prix is going to be quite an interesting race > especially because with the expected very hot weather the tyres shouldwork > quite well. Well from autosport.com ... Juan Pablo Montoya looks like he'll be putting in an intensive evening on the PlayStation after still failing to set a representative lap time -- Cheers, Robin Lord - Trance DJ & Sim Racer. http://www.oppositelock.co.uk Nrburgring and Grand Prix Legends GraDee <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:98u18m$d8m$[email hidden]... | He's already said he likes PC games, GPL his favourite and he used to like | GP2 he said, maybe he has some Malaysia addons for GP3?? | | Other than that could be F12K or uggg....Playstation :-) | | Juan da mon! | | | | rik anthrax <[email hidden]> wrote in message | news:_9vs6.77660$[email hidden]... | > Juan Pablo Montoya: | > "The Malaysian Grand Prix is going to be quite an interesting race | > especially because with the expected very hot weather the tyres should | work | > quite well. Well it would be nice if Williams could put a car under him that ran for more than one lap without breaking down. -- don GPL Programs for the Converted Tracks: http://www.ianparker.co.uk/gpl/bapom/ "Blues DeVille" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:98u1k0$fcf$[email hidden]... > Judged by his results on Friday's practice, his pc hardware might need > a bit of an upgrade... :-p > > Blues

Not bad for a track he'd never driven at before and all the mechanical problems in practice sessions. :-)

Yep, I hear ya. I'm pretty pleased so far- I kept thinking back to Zanardi's poor showing and I was a little nervous, but it looks like JPM is going to do well. :)
Okay, any idea why Zanardi failed so abysmally in his return after showing how talented he is in CART? Gault wrote:

On Wed, 21 Mar 2001 04:01:09 GMT, Mike Donnelly Jr <[email hidden]> wrote: >Okay, any idea why Zanardi failed so abysmally in his return after showing how >talented he is in CART?hi, my theory is that certain drivers are really not that great in all types of race cars. other drivers are just that much more talented and versatile that they can race in different vehicles and be competitive. examples of the latter are, Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Jacques Villeneuve, Robby Gordon (I think, but then I may be overexpecting). others like Zanardi, Michael Andretti and some of the other F1 drivers who went to Indycars, are extremely talented in one discipline, but just can't reach the same level in others. Its a pity. Whatever Michael achieves in Indycars (and it is substantial already) will always be tempered when compared to his dad's successes. just to keep this on topic and related to the thread let me add that I thought that Montoya is showing definite signs of greatness. he had a fantastic start at melbourne, but overcooked it into the first corner. his qualifying performance at sepang was very good and if you saw the last 15 minutes of qualifying you know what I mean. The last few minutes were enough to drop a top six lap time into a 11th or 12th. Montoya is also probably not that experienced in all the weather conditions that formula one is raced under. Hope he has GP3 installed. :) Here's my dollar, can I have 98 cents change please. Regards, Ian
