My brake pedal is playing up - the first half of the travel don't seem to make any difference in either GPL or in the wheel properties test thingy. After half travel the brakes come on OK but I don't get full braking power. It was working fine just two hours ago and I haven't changed *anything* since. Don't really want to open it up so is there anything I can do before I have to resort to the screwdriver? Cheers Jim MS Sidewinder Precision Racing Wheel [no FF] Win 98
no matter it's mysteriously fixed itself... Just a thought, but check the wire between pedals and wheel is definitely in properly at both ends. Restart ? Seriously... If you were holding down the brake pedal when the drivers initialized at startup, the entire calibration will be skewed until you restart again. That little 'wiggle' you feel in the wheel during a startup is the system calibrating. -Larry "Jim L" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:DVau6.17447$[email hidden]... > My brake pedal is playing up - the first half of the travel don't seem to > make any difference in either GPL or in the wheel properties test thingy. > After half travel the brakes come on OK but I don't get full brakingpower. > It was working fine just two hours ago and I haven't changed *anything* > since. > > Don't really want to open it up so is there anything I can do before Ihave
